I LOVE lunch again! August 26, 2010 Evil Shannon B (Twin Cities, MN) Bought the Ms. Bento for myself and the Mr. Bento for my husband. Now, instead of pre-fab lunchtime sustienence, I am able to dine in any cuisine I like. Little boxes filled with delicious home-made goodness! Lunch is once again a joy instead of drudgery. Getting a second Mr. Bento for future use. Get one, and then go to the Flickr Mr. Bento website for inspiration. In no time you'll be creating a little lunchtime magic for yourself!
I hate this bento box! August 6, 2010 Rose C. 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Beware! Before you buy this please realize you may end up hating this bento box too. I've had this bento box for about two years now. I've used it less than 10 times during this timeframe and let me say what I think is good and bad about this:
The Good:
-It's interesting and fun
-I love the brand, I have two of their ricecookers and they always cook perfect rice
-I find it easy to carry around
The Bad:
-I can no longer open the containers, rendering the whole contraption useless! I am physically unable to twist the lids off the containers! And I'm not a frail woman in my 80's or a child of 6! Okay, so I don't work out regularly and have giant hands that can grip this container lid but I didn't realize that was a requirement to own this bento box. These container lids have to be at least three times as stubborn as a pasta sauce jar lid.
-I find it hard to fit most lunches in here, so a few months ago purchased another lunch bag to put my tupperware in that I now use every day
I'm not sure if it keeps food hot as I have a microwave and fridge at work and never needed to test it.
So cute yes but now I have a broken lunchbox taking up space in my kitchen.
Convenient & Compact July 27, 2010 animextacy (New York City) Love it! Neat and compact and looks nice, really does keep things hot at the bottom. Also love the black carrying case although the plastic ends of the drawstring both broke off the first day. Other than that this bento box is a pleasure to use & I consider it a really good investment.
Bowls are not stainless steel July 16, 2010 J. Barnes 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I should have read the description more carefully -- only the carry case/jar is steel. The bowls/lids are plastic. Yes, it's convenient and everything it claims to be, but if you're looking to reduce your plastic expose, this product is not for you.
BEST LUNCH TOTE EVER! July 14, 2010 L. Joyce 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for my guy friend who refused to take lunch to work because he didn't want to seem like a dork carrying a paper bag and was instead paying tons of $$$ every week buying take out. I ended up buying this for him since it is a very masculine and "non-girly" lunch tote. He absolutely LOVES it. He tells me at least 1x a week how convenient it is, he loves that everything fits in one bag and it's just really the perfect lunch tote. I only wish I would have invented it! It's a big expensive but absolutely worth it as we can tell the quality os top notch. Probably the best Amazon.com purchase I have ever made. Love it!
