I love this economical vacuum cleaner!! It has great suction and the bags last quite a while. I have used it now for many cleanings...at least 5-6 and the bag is not yet full. I have a 2 bdrm apartment and two cats....and live in a dusty part of the southwest...and it holds up great! ( It is new..but I am expecting it will last for quite some time) :)
For the price it is a must for small areas (1100 sq feet), dorm rooms..etc. A must for college students who don't have much cash!

Tools work great..the suction really SUCKS! In the best way, aye!

So it doesn't have the best tools and the beater brush never stops but this does a great job at vacuuming. For the price I don't think it can be beat. I vacuum a lot and was so impressed by its performance I bought another one for a friend.

This is a scaled down version of another Hoover vacuum we had, but this one actually cleans better and is much lighter. It doesn't have extra goodies, but it is well worth the money spent on it and I would recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive, light vacuum that will get the job done for you.

great price and quick shipping. Only problem is the on/off switch doesn't work on the vacuum so I am stuck with a vacuum that is always on when plugged in and to turn it off you have to unplug it. It's a PITA but for the price I am not going to pay for return shipping to get it corrected and or wait 3 hours on hold to speak to someone at hoover to help correct the problem. Other than the on/off switch the vacuum has amazing suction power and is real easy to push/pull over any surface and the wand attachments work great.

Our Eureka Altima was falling and cracking apart after 3 years of usage. I read a very favorable review from Consumer Reports and saw this on Amazon. I'm very pleased with its performance and features. I used to like the visual aspect of seeing the bin fill up on non-baggged vacs; but after using this unit for a few weeks now, that's not an issue. I do like the red indicator on the front of the unit to give me an idea when the bag needs to be replaced. The headlight on the unit is very bright compared to other vacs we've used. It helps in the darker corners and other areas such as beneath coffee tables etc. It seems a touch quiter than our old Eureka. I feel we'll continue to use Hoover products from here on out.
