Product Description Leave the cleaning to a robot with this convenient machine. Its 14.4-volt rechargeable Ni-MH battery provides the power needed to clean hard floors, shop carpets, garage and basement areas, as well as industrial-floor surfaces. In addition, specially designed counter-rotating brushes spin almost 1,000 times per minute, sweeping up dirt and debris that cling to rough surfaces. Simply press the "clean" button and the unit sweeps under workbenches, cars, and other hard-to-reach places, picking up nuts, bolts, dirt, and more. For added convenience, "cliff" sensors keep it from falling down stairs or other vertical drops. The unit offers an oversized, bagless, easy-to-empty debris bin, and its power supply fully charges in seven hours. Accessories include a standard battery, a standard charger, a cleaning tool, and an owner's guide. The cleaning machine measures approximately 13 by 13 by 4 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Great product August 31, 2010 LS I got this soley for cleaning up my dogs' hair, and so I don't have to sweep the floors anymore. I was having to sweep every other day. Now I don't sweep ever, thanks to Stan (I named it). He does a really great job at cleaning up all the dog hair, dust, and dirt, and gets everything off the floor. He's a bit loud, but for the super clean floor he leaves behind that is something I overlook. I've been using him for several weeks now on the hardwood floors. I'm able to do my bedroom, long hallway, and living/dining room space all in one clean without recharging him. He does require a recharging after all that for several hours. Overall I am extremely happy and pleased with this purchase - life is so much easier for cleaning!!
Great Robot! Cleans Wonderfully! August 24, 2010 Mary from San Antonio This little robot is wonderful for tile and linoleum floors! We have cats and dogs and are always fighting the build up of hairs. The hairs always seem everywhere. This product took care of that problem pronto! We run it about every 2 days and it picks up all the hairs, sweeping under the legs on tables and chairs with its rotating brush and picks up everything! It's just great!
Have you ever wondered where those dust bunnies under your bed come from? Wonder no more! This robot will get all of them by just going right under your beds and sweeping them all up!
I wish I had known about this long ago because I am really pleased. The robot lets you know when it is running out of power and since we bought the recharger station, he goes back to his little house to be recharged. (Did you notice I said he? He is a dirt dog!) I would recommend this to anyone with uncarpeted floors as a way to pick up all that dust, dirt, hair, and anything else you might have around your house.
It's very easy to clean after using it and only takes me about 5-8 minutes to empty the collected material and clean the rollers about every 2 times we run it. There is even a tool to cut any hairs or strings that get wound around the rollers. It's a wonderful product!
Now I wish they made a robot for cleaning the furniture!
no more dog hair August 17, 2010 Rob I have 2 dogs (lab and a husky mix) that both shed. This thing has made my house soooo much better. without it, I have to vacuum the whole downstairs(they are not allowed upstairs) at least once a week. Now, I charge it by the front door and turn it on on my way out to work everyday. It keeps the house so much cleaner(and it makes me pick my crap up off the ground). It is LOUD, so do not think that you can get away with it vacuuming in the same room that you are watching TV. I have it do the whole upstairs once a week, and it keeps the carpets looking nice. It does get caught on cords, so make sure they are tucked away and be sure to empty it out after every use and clean the brushes. I HIGHLY recommend this unit!
Pancho is very efficient August 4, 2010 Judith A. Diez This one is Pancho #2, after the first one got so drunk all it could do was to go around in circles. It really cleans and manages uneven surfaces, like going from hard floors up and down rugs. It also picks up quite a bit of cat hair, and my son's cars little pieces. It was wonderful to get it, and at such a good price.
It's good but if the floor is rough the plastic gears wear out fast July 30, 2010 reb1833 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have numerous roombas! I have used them for years, but inside the house...and love them. I have a back porch that has rough spots.
This dirt dog does what it says but its plastic gears wear down really fast like within the first 3 months of continuous (daily) use. Granted my back porch is rough.
I bought my first dirt dog as a trial and it work for 3 months until it wore the gears down. Now $100 for sweeping--ya its not that much. But, its a manufacturing flaw that could readily be corrected by upgrading the gear construction.
You can buy gears or send it back the Roomba....so, do you want to take it apart or go to the shipping office.
I did buy another dirt dog and it, too suffered from this defect.
